Most self-mailers consist of three or more panels with one of the panels being a reply card that the recipient can fill out and return. It is very important to use the proper perforation with the self-mailer. It should be strong enough to keep the entire piece intact and yet it must detach easily when the mailer is ready for use. A perforation that is difficult to detach will decrease the response rate.
