Digital Proof
|
|
A type of hardcopy sample output directly from digital files rather than from analog methods (such as film), which is provided by the print provider and used by the client to verify the accuracy of their print application prior to the actual production of the project. Digital proofs give print providers greater flexibility in outputting updated proofs quickly and easily whenever changes are noted by the client. Digital proofs give clients the assurance that their print applications will be produced accurately. Continual improvements in digital proofing systems ensure that digital proofs are the best means possible for verifying the accuracy of print applications.
