A type of paper in which a portion of the ingredients used for creating the paper is composed of paper that has been previously used. The continuing increase in the amount of wastepaper being recycled has helped to reduce the costs of recycling. A greater array of recycled paper and paper products are available now than ever before. Paper recycling has become an increasingly important industry because of the environmental concerns related to large volumes of waste entering landfills and natural resources becoming exhausted in order to produce manufactured goods. Every year the percentage of paper that is recycled compared to the percentage that is wasted and ends up in landfills, increases. This helps to alleviate some of the strain placed upon the environment.
