JPEG
An acronym, pronounced jay peg, for “Joint Photograph Experts Group.” JPEG is a commonly used image file format that is used for the compression of images in order to reduce the size of the digital file, yet it does not sacrifice the image quality. The reduced file size allows for a greater number of images to be stored within a limited storage capacity.
