Wax-Based Ink
A type of printing colorant made with a wax base. Wax-based ink is a digital printing ink used for the thermal wax transfer printing process. Heating elements within the printing head control the amount of pigment that reaches the substrate. The heating elements melt the wax-based ink, which is deposited onto the printing surface. The wax-based ink used in the thermal wax transfer printing system produces a very intense color image and the printed piece is resistant to moisture and ultraviolet light.
