Ultraviolet
|
|
A portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, or light spectrum. The wavelengths of ultraviolet, or UV, are longer than X rays, but they are shorter than visible light wavelengths. Ultraviolet wavelengths are useful to the printing industry for imaging printing plates either conventionally, with the use of filmed negatives, or digitally, with the use of ultraviolet lasers.
