A type of plate used for computer-to-plate systems in which no residue forms on the plate during laser imaging. Many types of non-ablation plates are constructed of traditional grained aluminum and require less energy for imaging than ablation plates. There are also no environmental concerns when using the plates because there is no ablated emulsion material that requires specific methods of disposal.
