Microwaves
|
|
A portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, or light spectrum. The wavelengths of microwaves are longer than infrared wavelengths, but they are shorter than radio waves, (which are the longest electromagnetic wavelengths). Microwaves are most often used in popular cooking devices known as microwave ovens, which have become almost a necessity in most homes. Microwaves are invisible to the human eye.
