Groundwood Pulp
A type of wood pulp that is produced from a mechanical process that grinds wood into pulp. The cellulose in the wood is the major component of the pulp, but since other undesirable components, such as lignin and resins, are not removed, they also become part of the pulp. Groundwood pulp, which is also know as mechanical pulp, is most often used for papermaking.
