A type of paper finish on uncoated paper that has a soft texture similar to felt. The finish is created during the papermaking process with either a felt covered roller or a rubber roller that has a felt pattern on the surface. The felt pattern can also be applied as an offline process. The strength of the paper is not affected by the felt finish.
