Refers to the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum used for imaging CTP plates, such as infrared for thermal plates, visible light for light sensitive plates, and ultraviolet for UV-sensitive plates. Three of the most popular technologies for CTP imaging are thermal lasers (infrared), violet lasers (visible light), and diode pumped solid state lasers (ultraviolet).
