A type of offset plate laser imaging device that emits a violet, visible light laser beam at 395 - 420 nanometers. Violet diode lasers are one of the fastest growing visible light laser technologies. They are less expensive than many other types of lasers. They are smaller and the shorter wavelength allows for a faster imaging time. Diode lasers typically have a long life.
